Russell Crowe 

Ira Russell Crowe (born April 7 1964) is a New Zealand and Australian actor. His career began in the early 1990s with roles in Australian TV series such as Police Rescue and films such as Romper Stomper. In the late 1990s, he began appearing in American films such as the 1997 film LA Confidential. In 2000 he was nominated for three Oscars, and in 2001 he received an Academy Award as best actor for his role in the film Gladiator

Russell Crowe Biography

After initial success in Australia, Crowe began in American films. He was one of the first starring with Denzel Washington in Virtuosity in 1995. It is three times Oscar nominee, winning the Oscar for best actor in 2001 for Gladiator. Crowe wore his grandfather Stan Wemyss in the Member States of the Order of the British Empire medal to the ceremony. Crowe received three Oscar nominations for Best Actor for the insider, Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind. Russell Crowe won best actor in A Beautiful Mind in 2002 at the awards ceremony BAFTA. But he was unable to win the Oscar this year, the loss of Denzel Washington. It was suggested that the attack on television producer Malcolm Gerrie to cut short his speech can be turned voters against him. The three films were nominated for best picture, and both Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind won the award. In six years, stretching from 1997-2003, he also turned in the other two candidates, the best picture, LA Confidential and Master and Commander: The Far in the world, but he has been nominated for anything. In 2005, he again teamed with A Beautiful Mind director Ron Howard, "Cinderella" to the right. In 2006, he found Gladiator director Ridley Scott A Good Year, the first of two co-operation (the second American Gangster starring again with Denzel Washington, who was released in late 2007). Although in the light romantic comedy A Good Year was received Crowe not very happy that the film, STV said in an interview that he thought this would be to use the fans of his other films. 9 March 2005, Crowe revealed the magazine GQ, which the Federal Bureau of Investigation agents call for the 73rd Academy Award, 25 March 2001 and told him that the Islamist terrorist group Al-Qaeda wants to remove. Crowe told the magazine that it was the first time he had never heard of al-Qaida (11 September attacks have taken place in the year), and cites the words: 

"You have this evening the end of the call from the FBI when you arrive in Los Angeles, and they have, for example, in a comprehensive." We need to talk to you now, before you do anything. We should have a discussion with you, Mr. Crow. Russell Crowe was guarded by secret service agents in the months ahead, as when shooting films and at award ceremonies (Scotland Yard also guarded Crowe, where he contributed to the evidence of life in London February 2001). Crowe said he "... never understood what was  happening."
